In June 2020, Kia Motors showed the first teaser image of the next-generation Carnival MPV, which is expected to make its global debut in the third quarter of 2020. Now, the Korean manufacturer has revealed the interior of the MPV, confirming its dimensions and shedding light on a few key details. The all-new 2021 Carnival is 10 mm wider, 40 mm longer, and has a longer wheelbase in comparison to the outgoing model. The 2021 Carnival will be available in a 7-, 9-, and 11-seat configurations when it goes on sale in Korea in the coming future.
In February 2020, Kia launched the current-gen Carnival in India at the 2020 Auto Expo, Delhi. After the successful launch of the Seltos SUV, the company set a benchmark in the Indian automotive market by offering a feature-loaded car with good quality. The all-new Carnival comes with the all-new dashboard that features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Both screens are designed to fit under a single unit that sits atop a chrome strip that extends the width of the dash, connecting all four AC vents.
Now, the company has showcased the seven-seat variant of the 2021 Carnival, which comes with reclining captain seats for the second-row passengers, with USB charging ports, a storage drawer, and screens. However, the company has not yet revealed any details about the powertrain of the all-new Carnival. The price of the ongoing variant of the Carnival MPV starts from US$ 33193.90 and US$ 45167.66 for the top-end variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The outgoing variant is available in three different variants; Limousine, Prestige, and Premium. The next-gen Carnival is expected to be launched in India in 2022.
