YouTube this year has experienced huge amount of viewership, and its collaboration with Stadia might just add to its glory.
Due to the lockdown, several people were glued to their phones and were streaming videos online. At one point, demand became so high that online platforms such as YouTube were facing major network traffic and had to decrease their streaming qualities. YouTube and Google Stadia had plans to work together for quite a long time. The plan was to allow the user play Stadia games instantly by clicking on a YouTube advertisement, all thanks to cloud computing. With the help of this process, YouTubers will be able to invite their fans directly to join the games and the creators can live stream Stadia games directly on YouTube without putting in extra efforts
Stadia's launch in November 2020, did not guarantee any of the above mentioned features but from 8th December 2020 Stadia users will be able to live-stream their games directly to YouTube. On 7th December, it was observed that Stadia accounts can be linked with YouTube accounts but the streaming feature was still missing, which will be added on 8th December.
YouTube does have many rules and regulations when it comes to video streaming, because of which the users have to change few settings in the live streaming session and make it appropriate for kids, following the children's protection guidelines. 4K streaming may also be a problem right now and the users will be needing a $9.99/month Stadia pro subscription.
With the launch of various Stadia games and consoles this year, the YouTube live streaming feature was mandatory. Stadia is preparing for upcoming challenges, which will make this collaboration a "game-changing" one.
